Yourself as a reader, writer & researcher

I am a very complex intricate person when it comes to reading. I need something to lure me in, i need danger, fear, heroism, mystery, but i also find myself between fictional books, or romantic books or even anything that is based on a true event, especially situations such as friendships etc. I also listen to podcasts such as to help relieve my anxiety and like to hear those talk shows where they mention or talk about artists, daily news etc. I can also say im a girl who loves to write, i even have a Wattpad page where i was developing my own story about a girl who’s mother abandonded her with just leaving a letter, toxic relationships and she’d throw herself to the street to fend for herself. A good memory i have about reading is when my 8th grade teacher made me proficient in fast reading and annotating and it was on the book: the city of ember and homecoming by cynthia voigt also this book that is called Hatchet by Gary Paulsen (which at first i judged the city of ember, but eventually found to be interesting). i’ve written about plays, and also read shakespeare and had to do essays with a specific topic question and/or counter-argument. Well i wont pre-dispose of what i’d like to learn as that is also a decision that my classmates have to make as well but i just want the teacher to break things down and discuss with us just like the discussion today and engage with us more. As long as we are set like dates for things and everything has structure i doubt any research will be difficult. Although i suggest for the students and the teacher that assignments like those and even big projects for us to be able to express and have a sort of checkpoint through blackboard to help our learning process. I am excited about starting this class because today we talked about movies and like why, how and what we feel when we watch them and it was interesting to see how many of my classmates had different opinions to movies that i guess impacted everyone’s childhood differently. i’ve always felt like english classes been medium because i’d usually get A’s or B’s because i kind of know i’m smart and i judge myself a lot towards how my work i kind of just go with the flow, otline and facts and based on how it looks and sounds but i understand that everything in life is a learning process and to perfect it it takes time, knowledge and patience to be better in english subjects/categories.
